1 part of fabric – 20×5 cm,

2 parts of wadding – 28×45 cm

1x template for a glove

Place the stencil on the fabric and trace it with chalk.

We have traced the template .

Now cut off the excess fabric according to the stencil outlined .

Gradually trace and cut out all four parts of the fabric according to the template.

Sew two parts of the fabric onto the wadding.

When we have sewn the wadding with the fabric , cut off the excess wadding .

Fold the smallest piece of fabric 20×5 cm to create a narrow loop and sew it together.

Now we have these three parts ready.

Place the parts of the oven mitt face together and hold the loop with a pin .

Then staple .

Turn the glove to the right side .

We take the remaining two parts of the fabric .

Draw a part of the fabric with chalk that will not be stitched . We will later use this hole to pull the glove through. Sew the rest of the fabric together.

Now we have these two parts ready.

Tuck the part with the wadding into the part without the wadding.

Sew at the end.

Now push the part with the wadding through the hole of the part without the wadding.

When we have the parts stretched, we can sew the hole for stretching.

Finally, tuck the part without wadding into the part with the wadding and the oven mitt is ready.

This is what the final product looks like – a kitchen mitt .

It is advisable to sew the edge of the potholder so that it does not rotate .
